Genie SNSD was plagiarized?

Not by SM Entertainment, but by an Uzbekistan singer by the name of Dineyra.

News claiming that SM plagiarized “Genie” began to spread online due to Dineyra’s track, “Raqsga tushgin,” having been released a few months earlier than “Genie.” Father SM, furious, since he actually bought the rights to the song from Universal Music, has stated that he will take full legal actions for plagiarism of the song. A representative of Universal Music denied giving the Uzbekistan singer any rights to the song, stating,

We not only don’t know of this Uzbekistan singer, Dineyra, we also never permitted for her to use the song. Dineyra’s version of the song was clearly released without sm's legal consent.

The original melody for “Genie” was composed by European composers, Dsign Music. However, SM composer, Yoo Young-jin, created an additional melody, rearranged and also wrote the lyrics himself to make the song his own. So, from the looks of it, the track was somehow leaked during the process of the composer sending Universal Music the song. This already makes it the fourth adverse incident the girls have run into after releasing comeback and hopefully it will be the last.

2NE1 is new group of 2009. This group is totally different from other girls group bcz of their skills and theme. I love Sandara and CL the most.

Check out the recently released pictures of the 4 member group.

Although it hasn’t been revealed what the new photos are for, it is most likely for their second comeback.

The clothes play around their “Fire” concept with a fresh twist of prints and patterns for an edgier look and toning down on the street vibe.

The girls look amazing and Minzy actually looks her age here. Cute!

The girls are getting so popular, they’re now getting their own TV show on MNet cable TV, starting July 2nd. The new program, ‘2NE1 TV’, will show how the girls spend their 24 hours in a day. What’s interesting about ’2NE1TV’ is, aside from being aired at the scheduled time, short segments of 2NE1 will be shown randomly between other shows or commercials. Choi, the PD of ‘2NE1 TV’ seems to be pretty confident that the show will definitely be an eye-catcher.

Although the show is about the 24 hours of a day in the lives of 2NE1, the concept and feel of the program is to seem as though the girls are watching their own show which they personally set up and recorded.

The first episode of MNet’s ‘2NE1 TV’ will air on July 2nd at 6pm. Can’t you just picture all the little fan girls and boys being scolded by their parents for being glued in front of the TV all day long trying to catch a glimpse of their favorite idol?!

MC Mong wanna be doctor?

MC Mong is currently hitting the books to become a doctor!

Well, not a real doctor but for a reality show on the season 2 of Mnet ‘Suh In-young’s Kaist,’ titled (literal translation) ’Doctor Mong goes to medical school’.

For the upcoming program, the rapping singer wants to experience and expose the everyday lives of medical students. And to do that, he has applied and interviewed with five different medical schools and their professors. Although, none of the schools have yet to accept him, the rapping monkey is supposedly studying hard and concentrating on preparing on his own for the English interview with the professors. If this guy is lucky enough to be accepted by any of the medical schools, he will only experience the campus life of med-students as a temporary student. Luckily for the patients, he will not have any personal contact with them nor will he be able to assist in their treatment (phew!). In the case that the rapper gets rejected by all schools, the show will then be geared toward showing the road of his attempt and failure to enter medical school. Seriously though, when student’s are pulling out their hair studying in order to help save the real lives of people, what medical school in their right mind would want their student studying alongside a rapping guy?

For those of you interested in tuning into ‘Doctor Mong goes to medical school’ the program is scheduled to air on Mnet in late April 2009.

MC Mong has been accepted to ‘Catholic University Medical School‘. We’re not sure if we should congratulate the rapper or be scared for the patients.

Why be scared for the patients? Well because these med-student’s probably won’t be studying as hard as before due to being distracted by the rapper and having all those camera’s in their face. In the long run, it will be the patient’s that will have to suffer. *Knocks on wood* The rapping monkey has already attended two classes and the show will air on Mnet on April 23rd. Hopefully, the pseudo medical student will make himself useful and not be a nuisance to other real students.
